Services
MS Industry Consulting supports automation projects where requirements, decisions, and execution must hold throughout the project lifecycle. Engagements can be focused on specific phases, but are often delivered as integrated support across larger parts of the project. This reduces interfaces, simplifies decision-making, and creates better conditions for stable operations – especially in complex investments.

Many challenges in automation projects originate early in the project lifecycle. Unclear requirements, insufficient boundaries, and ambiguous documentation often lead to late changes, discussions, and uncertainty further down the line.
My support within requirements and procurement focuses on contributing clear, feasible, and verifiable conditions before investments and commitments are made. The focus is on creating a shared basis that works for engineering, purchasing, and operations alike. This reduces the risk of late changes, interpretation disputes, and unwanted compromises later in the project.
When this support is relevant
- For larger investments in automation or production equipment
- When multiple internal functions need to align on the same requirements
- When previous projects have involved late changes or unclear deliveries
- When responsibilities, interfaces, or verification criteria are unclear
- When the procurement process requires technical support
What the support may include
The scope of the support is adapted to the project and may cover all or parts of the early project phases. The work aims to create clarity and reduce interpretation – not to unnecessarily lock solutions.
- Structuring and formulation of functional and system requirements
- Clarification of interfaces to surrounding equipment, IT, and operations
- Preparation of RFQ documentation and technical appendices
- Support in technical evaluation of quotations
- Identification of risks related to requirements, scope, and verification
Way of working
The work is carried out in close dialogue with relevant stakeholders and is based on existing processes and decision structures. The focus is on establishing a shared understanding of what is to be delivered and how it can be verified.
Engagement model
The assignment is structured as a time-limited engagement, adapted to the organization’s needs and current situation.
Scope, focus, and time horizon are defined jointly and may be adjusted as the understanding of the assignment develops.
